AN ACT relating to gaming; revising the definition of “resort hotel” for the purposes of certain statutes pertaining to gaming; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. NRS 463.01865 is hereby amended to read as follows:

1-2    463.01865  “Resort hotel” means any building or group of buildings

1-3  [that] which is maintained as and held out to the public to be a hotel or

1-4  time-share project where sleeping accommodations are furnished to the

1-5  transient public and [that] which has:

1-6    1.  More than 200 rooms available for sleeping accommodations;

1-7    2.  At least one bar with permanent seating capacity for more than 30

1-8  patrons that serves alcoholic beverages sold by the drink for consumption

1-9  on the premises;

1-10    3.  At least one restaurant with permanent seating capacity for more

1-11  than 60 patrons that is open to the public 24 hours each day and 7 days

1-12  each week[;] , or at least one snack bar or delicatessen that is open to the

1-13  public 10 hours each day and 7 days each week; and

1-14    4.  A gaming area within the building or group of buildings.
