AN ACT making appropriations to the Department of Cultural Affairs for the purchase of equipment and to carry out the statewide monument program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

   Section 1. 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the state general

 fund to the Department of Cultural Affairs the sum of $39,797 for the

 purchase of equipment.

   2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1

 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and reverts to

 the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have

 been made.

   Sec. 2.  1.  There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund

 to the Department of Cultural Affairs to carry out the statewide monument

 program:

For the fiscal year 2001-2002. $44,225

For the fiscal year 2002-2003. $41,906

   2.  Any balance of the appropriations made by subsection 1 remaining

 at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be committed for

 expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal years and reverts to the

 state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been

 made.

   Sec. 3.  1.  This section and section 1 of this act become effective

 upon passage and approval.

   2.  Section 2 of this act becomes effective on July 1, 2001.
