AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety for security upgrades and operating expenses at various offices of the Division of Parole and Probation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety the sum of $32,622

1-3  for security upgrades and operating expenses at various offices of the

1-4  Division of Parole and Probation to be distributed as follows:

1-5  1.  For remodeling costs and an alarm system   $25,182

1-6  2.  For operating expenses for the fiscal year 2001-2002............................................................   $3,720

1-7  3.  For operating expenses for the fiscal year 2002-2003............................................................   $3,720

1-8    Sec. 2.  1.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by

1-9  subsection 2 of section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure

1-10  after June 30, 2002, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all

1-11  payments of money committed have been made.

1-12  2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriations made by subsections 1

1-13  and 3 of section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after

1-14  June 30, 2003, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments

1-15  of money committed have been made.

1-16    Sec. 3.  1.  This section and subsection 1 of section 1 of this act

1-17  become effective upon passage and approval.

1-18    2.  Subsection 2 of section 1 of this act becomes effective on July 1,

1-19  2001.


2-1    3.  Subsection 3 of section 1 of this act becomes effective on July 1,

2-2  2002.
