AN ACT relating to banks; repealing the provisions establishing criminal penalties for
certain acts in derogation of a bank; and providing other matters properly
relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section
1. NRS 668.105 is hereby
repealed.
1-2 Sec. 2. This
act becomes effective upon passage and approval.

REPEALED SECTION
1-4 668.105 Willful and malicious making of derogatory reports:
1-5 Penalty. Any person who willfully and
maliciously makes, circulates or
1-6 transmits to
another or others any statement, rumor or suggestion, written,
1-7 printed or
by word of mouth, which is directly or by inference derogatory
1-8 to the
financial condition, or affects the solvency or financial standing of
1-9 any bank, or
who counsels, aids, procures or induces another to state,
1-10 transmit or
circulate any such statement or rumor is guilty of a gross
1-11 misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined or imprisoned, or
1-12 both, in the
discretion of the court.
