AN ACT making a contingent appropriation to Carson City to assist in the construction of a three-story public parking garage in downtown Carson City; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general

1-2 fund to Carson City the sum of $1,800,000 to assist in the construction of a

1-3 three-story public parking garage in downtown Carson City.

1-4 2. The appropriation made by subsection 1 is contingent upon Carson

1-5 City obtaining $1,000,000 from other sources for this project.

1-6 3. The State Controller shall not distribute any money from the

1-7 appropriation until Carson City has provided satisfactory proof to the State

1-8 Controller that Carson City has raised $1,000,000 from other sources for

1-9 this project.

1-10 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-11 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2005, and

1-12 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-13 committed have been made.

1-14 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
