AN ACT relating to long-term care; directing the Legislative Commission to appoint a
subcommittee to continue the study of long-term care in this state; authorizing
the subcommittee to appoint an advisory committee; requiring the subcommittee
to employ a consultant; making an appropriation; and providing other matters
properly relating thereto.
Whereas, The Legislative Commission was
directed by Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 4 of the 70th session of the
Nevada Legislature to appoint a subcommittee to conduct an interim study
concerning long-term care in this state; and

members of the subcommittee and national, state and local experts concerning a
multitude of issues relating to long-term care in this state; and

complexity of issues addressed by the subcommittee, the subcommittee concluded
that a second phase of discussion, oversight and consideration of those issues
was necessary to ensure significant improvements in long-term care in this
