AN ACT making an appropriation to the Welfare Division of the Department of Human Resources for a statewide training program by the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General

1-2  Fund to the Welfare Division of the Department of Human

1-3  Resources the sum of $30,000 for disbursement to the Nevada

1-4  Network Against Domestic Violence to provide statewide training

1-5  of welfare intake workers to identify victims of domestic violence,

1-6  refer them to appropriate services and follow up as necessary.

1-7  Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by

1-8  section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after


2-1  June 30, 2005, and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all

2-2  payments of money committed have been made.

2-3  Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2003.
