AN ACT making an appropriation to the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada for expenses directly related to implementing a bachelor’s degree program at certain campuses of the Community College of Southern Nevada in the field of elementary and secondary education; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General

1-2  Fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada the sum

1-3  of $800,000 for expenses directly related to implementing a

1-4  bachelor’s degree program in the field of elementary and secondary

1-5  education at the Cheyenne and West Charleston campuses of the

1-6  Community College of Southern Nevada.

1-7  Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by

1-8  section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after

1-9  June 30, 2005, and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all

1-10  payments of money committed have been made.


2-1  Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2003.
