AN ACT making an appropriation to the City of Las Vegas for support of the Youth Athletic Grant Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the State

1-2  General Fund to the City of Las Vegas the sum of $250,000 for

1-3  support of the Youth Athletic Grant Program.

1-4  2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by

1-5  subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30,

1-6  2005, and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all payments

1-7  of money committed have been made.

1-8  3.  The City of Las Vegas shall:

1-9  (a) Establish and maintain records concerning the use of the

1-10  money appropriated by subsection 1 which conform to generally

1-11  accepted accounting practices; and

1-12      (b) Provide a written report to the Director of the Legislative

1-13  Counsel Bureau for transmission to the Legislative Commission on

1-14  or before January 1, 2005, which clearly describes the expenditures

1-15  made from the money appropriated by subsection 1 and their benefit

1-16  to the State.

 

2-1  Sec. 2.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2003.
