AN ACT relating to senior judges; providing for the reversion of certain money in the Retired Justice Duty Fund to the State General Fund; making an appropriation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General
1-2 Fund to the Retired Justice Duty Fund the sum of $100,000 for
1-3 salaries for senior judges to increase coverage in the Second and
1-4 Eighth Judicial Districts and for emergency requests in the smaller
1-5 counties of Nevada.
1-6 Sec. 2. On June 30, 2005, any amount in excess of $175,000 in
1-7 the Retired Justice Duty Fund must not be committed for
1-8 expenditure and reverts to the State General Fund after all payments
1-9 of money committed prior to June 30, 2005, have been paid.
1-10 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
