AN ACT making an appropriation for the development of a master’s degree program for public health nurses and dental hygienists at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State
1-2 General Fund to the University and Community College System of
1-3 Nevada for the development of a master’s degree program for public
1-4 health nurses and dental hygienists at the University of Nevada, Las
1-5 Vegas:
1-6 For the Fiscal Year 2003-2004$150,000
1-7 For the Fiscal Year 2004-2005$150,000
1-8 2. Each fiscal year, $45,000 of the amount appropriated by
1-9 subsection 1 must be used to award scholarships to students
1-10 studying in these fields.
1-11 Sec. 2. The sums appropriated by section 1 of this act are
1-12 available for either fiscal year. Any balance of those sums must not
1-13 be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2005, and reverts to the
2-1 State General Fund as soon as all payments of money committed
2-2 have been made.
2-3 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective on July 1, 2003.
