AN ACT relating to recreation; extending the reversion date of certain appropriations from previous sessions for park improvements; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

    Section 1. Section 4 of chapter 536, Statutes of Nevada 1997,

as last amended by section 5 of chapter 475, Statutes of Nevada

2001, at page 2385, is hereby amended to read as follows:

    Sec. 4.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation

made by section 1 of chapter 536, Statutes of Nevada 1997:

    1.  For use as provided in subsections 4, 5, 7 and 9 of that

section must not be committed for expenditure after June 30,

1999, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all

payments of money committed have been made.

    2.  For use as provided in subsections 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8 of

that section must not be committed for expenditure after

June 30, [2003,] 2005, and reverts to the state general fund as

soon as all payments of money committed have been made.

    Sec. 2.  Section 7 of chapter 475, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at

page 2385, is hereby amended to read as follows:

    Sec. 7.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation

made by section 6 of this act must not be committed for

expenditure after June 30, [2003,] 2005, and reverts to the

state general fund as soon as all payments of money

committed have been made.

    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
