The Committee on Constitutional Amendmentswas called to order at 12:03 p.m., on Monday, March 24, 2003, behind the Bar of the Assembly by Chairman Harry Mortenson.

The Committee was called to order at 12:03 p.m. for the purpose of introducing BDR 31-1297, BDR C-212, and BDR C-313.

 

There was a quorum present.

 


BDR 31-1297 - Directs issuance of Nevada silver coins.  (A.B. 532)

 

ASSEMBLYMAN GUSTAVSON MOVED FOR INTRODUCTION OF BDR 31-1297.

 

ASSEMBLYMAN SHERER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION PASSED WITH ASSEMBLYMAN HORNE VOTING NO.

 

 

BDR C-212 - Proposes to amend Nevada Constitution to provide for staggered elections of District Judges.  (A.J.R. 12)

 

ASSEMBLYMAN GUSTAVSON MOVED FOR INTRODUCTION OF BDR C-212.

 

ASSEMBLYMAN SHERER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

 

 

BDR C-313 - Proposes to amend Nevada Constitution to provide that special session of Legislature may be convened by petition by Legislators.  (A.J.R. 13)

 

ASSEMBLYMAN SHERER MOVED FOR INTRODUCTION OF BDR C‑313.

 

ASSEMBLYMAN GUSTAVSON SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
