The Committee on Judiciarywas called to order at 11:15 a.m., on Thursday, May 1, 2003, behind the Bar of the Assembly by Chairman Bernie Anderson for the purpose of considering the introduction of Bill Draft Request No. R-1285.

Chairman Anderson declared a quorum was present and read the summary of the bill draft request requiring introduction.

 

·        BDR R-1285 — Directs Legislative Commission to conduct interim study of juvenile justice system in Nevada.  (A.C.R. 18)

ASSEMBLYWOMAN OHRENSCHALL MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BDR NO. R-1285.

 

ASSEMBLYMAN MORTENSON SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED. (Mr. Oceguera and Ms. Buckley were absent for the vote.)

 

Chairman Anderson noted for the Committee members that this would not be heard in the Assembly Committee on Judiciary.  The bill will be referred to the Assembly Committee on Elections, Procedures, and Ethics.

 

Chairman Anderson adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
