The Committee on Taxationwas called to order at 11:12 a.m., on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, behind the Bar of the Assembly by Chairman David Parks.

Chairman Parks asked for a Committee introduction of BDR 32-1210 (A.B. 204) and BDR S-256 (A.B. 205).

 

·    BDR 32-1210 – Provides revenue in support of state budget (A.B. 204).

 

ASSEMBLYMAN MARVEL MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BDR 32-1210.

 

ASSEMBLYMAN HETTRICK SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

• BDR S-256 – Increases tax on rental of transient lodging within City of Sparks to pay certain costs related to promotion of tourism (A.B. 205).

 

ASSEMBLYMAN MARVEL MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BDR S-256 (A.B. 205).

 

ASSEMBLYMAN ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

 

There being no further business before the Committee, Chairman Parks adjourned the meeting at 11:16 a.m.
