The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Maurice E. Washington, at 11:05 a.m., on Monday, February 17, 2003, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Senator Washington announced Bill Draft Request (BDR) 17-700 had been presented for introduction. He said it was an act relating to persons with disabilities, establishing a legislative committee on persons with disabilities, and prescribing the powers and duties of the committee. He added it also required the Department of Human Resources to submit certain reports to the committee, and it specified that other related materials would be remanded to the proposed committee.
BILL DRAFT REQUEST 17-700: Establishes a Statutory Legislative Committee Concerning Services Provided to Persons with Disabilities. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 137.)
SENATOR WIENER MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR 17-700.
SENATOR CEGAVSKE SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS RAGGIO, MATHEWS, AND TITUS WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
