The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Maurice E. Washington, at 4:52 p.m., on Monday, March 17, 2003, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Washington informed the committee it had received Bill Draft Request (BDR) R-1221 for introduction, which would be a resolution in support of America’s missile defense system.

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST R-1221: Declares support of Nevada Legislature for America’s defense system. (Later introduced as Senate Joint Resolution 7.)

 

SENATOR RAGGIO MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR R-1221.

 

SENATOR CEGAVSKE SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR TITUS VOTED NO. SENATORS MATHEWS AND RAWSON WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
