The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Maurice E. Washington, at 12:10 a.m., on Saturday, May 31, 2003, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT:

Chairman Washington said the committee needed to consider Amendment No. 927 to Senate Concurrent Resolution 21.
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 21:Directs Legislative Commission to conduct interim study concerning reconfiguration of school districts in this state. (BDR R-56)
Senator Tiffany explained the amendment changed the bill from studying all school districts in Nevada to only the Clark County School District.
Senator Raggio asked whether the Las Vegas School District was amenable to the bill.
Chairman Washington said he would meet with the representatives from the Clark County School District and report back to the committee.
Chairman Washington adjourned the floor meeting at 12:15 p.m.
