AB57 Effective July 1, 2003, for the purposes of State Public Works Board adopting seismic provisions and standards specified in section 1 of this act; and July 1, 2004, for all other purposes, including for the purpose of a governing body to amend its building codes to include the seismic provisions and standards specified in subsection 5 of NRS 278.580, as amended by section 2 of this act. Requires State Public Works Board to adopt certain seismic standards and requires certain governing bodies to amend their building codes to include certain seismic standards. (BDR 28-206)
AB79 Sections 1 to 36, inclusive, of this act effective May 21, 2003, for purposes of: (1) Adopting regulations by the Commissioner of Insurance to carry out provisions of this act; and (2) Certifying external review organizations pursuant to section 2 of this act; (b) On January 1, 2004, for purposes of filing notice of and approving any material modifications to operations as required pursuant to NRS 695C.140; and (c) On July 1, 2004, for all other purposes. Remainder of this act effective May 21, 2003. Provides for external review of final adverse determinations made by managed care organizations, health maintenance organizations and certain insurers. Section 23. 5 of this act effective July 1, 2003, for purpose of adopting regulations and July 1, 2004, for all other purposes. Sections 62 and 66 of this act effective July 1, 2003, and expire by limitation on the date of the repeal of the federal law requiring each state to establish procedures for withholding, suspending and restricting the professional, occupational and recreational licenses for child support arrearages and for noncompliance with certain processes relating to paternity or child support proceedings. Sections 24.5 and 25.5 of this act effective July 1, 2004. Sections 63 and 67 of this act effective on the date of the repeal of the federal law requiring each state to establish procedures for withholding, suspending and restricting the professional, occupational and recreational licenses for child support arrearages and for noncompliance with certain processes relating to paternity or child support proceedings. AB232 Section 29 effective June 10, 2003. Sections 1, 2, 3, and 3.5 to 19, inclusive, of this act effective June 10, 2003, for purposes of adopting regulations and entering into contracts or otherwise preparing to carry out the provisions of this act. Sections 3.3 and 20 to 28, inclusive, of this act effective October 1, 2003. Section 1, 2, 3 and 3.5 to 19, inclusive, of this act effective January 1, 2004, for the purpose of the Attorney General making the determination described in subsection 1 of section 9 of this act. If the Attorney General makes the determination described in subsection 1 of section 9 of this act on or before April 1, 2004, section 1, 2, 3, and 3.5 to 19, inclusive, of this act effective on May 1, 2004, for all other purposes. If the Attorney General does not make the determination described in subsection 1 of section 9 of this act on or before April 1, 2004, sections 1, 2, 3 and 3.5 to 19, inclusive, of this act become effective: (a) May 1, 2004, for purposes of the Attorney General receiving and accepting requests to include telephone numbers in the registry established pursuant to section 10 of this act. (b) June 1, 2004, for purpose of publishing the first list of telephone numbers in the registry; and (c) July 1, 2004, for all other purposes. Revises provisions relating to trade practices. AB504 Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, of provisions of this act effective October 1, 2003. The amendatory provisions of section 7 of this act which require the Task Force for the Fund for a Healthy Nevada to allocate for expenditure not more than 10 percent of all revenues deposited in the Fund for a Healthy Nevada each year for programs that improve health services for children, to allocate for expenditure not more than 7.5 percent of all revenues deposited in the Fund each year for programs that improve the health and well-being of persons with disabilities, and to reserve not more than 2.5 percent of all revenues deposited in the Fund each year for direct expenditure by the Department of Human Resources to fund any program established pursuant to section 3 of this act effective July 1, 2004.
