AN ACT relating to industrial insurance; prohibiting the failure to comply with an order issued by the Administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations of the Department of Business and Industry to cease all business operations at a place of employment or jobsite; providing a penalty; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. Chapter 616D of NRS is hereby amended by
1-2 adding thereto a new section to read as follows:
1-3 1. A person shall not knowingly fail to comply with an order
1-4 issued by the Administrator pursuant to NRS 616D.110 to cease
1-5 immediately all business operations at a place of employment or
1-6 jobsite.
1-7 2. A person who is convicted of violating the provisions of
1-8 subsection 1 is guilty of a misdemeanor.
1-9 3. A criminal penalty imposed pursuant to this section is in
1-10 addition to any civil penalty or other remedy available pursuant to
1-11 another statute.
