AN ACT making an appropriation to the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada for establishment of the Nevada Educational Support Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General

1-2  Fund to the University and Community College System of Nevada

1-3  the sum of $1,440,000 for the establishment of the Nevada

1-4  Educational Support Program to provide support for pupils and

1-5  students who are at risk of not achieving their full academic

1-6  potential.

1-7  Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by

1-8  section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after

1-9  June 30, 2005, and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all

1-10  payments of money committed have been made.

1-11      Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
