AN ACT making an appropriation to the Interim Finance Committee for allocation to the Eighth Judicial District of the State of Nevada for operational expenses of a mental health court in Clark County; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the State

1-2  General Fund to the Interim Finance Committee for allocation to the

1-3  Eighth Judicial District of the State of Nevada for operational

1-4  expenses of a mental health court in Clark County:

1-5  For the fiscal year 2003-2004... $300,000

1-6  For the fiscal year 2004-2005... $300,000

1-7  2.  The Interim Finance Committee shall not allocate any

1-8  money appropriated by subsection 1 until the Committee receives

2-1  such documentation as it deems necessary from Clark County

2-2  showing that a mental health court has been established in Clark

2-3  County.

2-4  3.  The Interim Finance Committee is not required to allocate

2-5  the entire amount appropriated by subsection 1.

2-6  Sec. 2.  Any balance of the sums appropriated by section 1 of

2-7  this act remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not

2-8  be allocated by the Interim Finance Committee after June 30 of the

2-9  respective fiscal years and reverts to the State General Fund as soon

2-10  as all payments of money committed have been made.

2-11      Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
