AN ACT relating to state land; requiring the State Land Registrar to convey certain land to the Nevada FFA Foundation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. The State Land Registrar on behalf of the State of

1-2  Nevada shall, subject to the provisions of section 2 of this act,

1-3  convey gratuitously and by quitclaim deed to the Nevada FFA

1-4  Foundation, a nonprofit corporation organized pursuant to chapter

1-5  82 of NRS, file number C462-1975 in the office of the Secretary of

1-6  State, all of the right, title and interest of the State of Nevada in the

1-7  parcel of land located in Carson City, Nevada, described as follows:

1-8  The NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of section

1-9  33; and the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of section 34; all in Township15

1-10  N., Range 19 E., M.D.M., consisting of 120 acres more or less.

1-11      Sec. 2.  1.  The transfer pursuant to section 1 of this act must

1-12  include all fixtures, equipment and supplies at the Clear Creek

1-13  Youth Facility on July 1, 2003. The Nevada Legislature declares

1-14  that the purpose of this act is to transfer the land and all fixtures,

1-15  equipment and supplies at the Clear Creek Youth Facility to the


2-1  Nevada FFA Foundation for use by the Foundation and other youth

2-2  groups. If the Nevada FFA Foundation ceases to utilize the land for

2-3  this purpose or purports to transfer the land to another party, all of

2-4  the right, title and interest of the Nevada FFA Foundation reverts to

2-5  the State of Nevada.

2-6  2.  The property described in section 1 of this act must be

2-7  conveyed subject to any and all easements existing on the date of

2-8  the conveyance, whether of record or not.

2-9  3.  The Nevada FFA Foundation shall pay any expenses

2-10  incurred by the State Land Registrar to carry out the provisions of

2-11  this act, including expenses related to the appraisal of the land.

2-12      Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2003.
