AN ACT making supplemental appropriations to the Welfare Division of the Department of Human Resources for unanticipated shortfalls in Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for the Electronic Transfer Program and the State’s share of caseload requirements and cost allocation of the Division; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State
1-2 General Fund to the Welfare Administration of the Welfare Division
1-3 of the Department of Human Resources the sum of $122,437 for an
1-4 unanticipated shortfall in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for the
1-5 Electronic Benefits Transfer Program. This appropriation is
1-6 supplemental to that made by section 19 of chapter 570, Statutes of
1-7 Nevada 2001, at page 2861.
1-8 2. There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to
1-9 the Welfare Field Services of the Welfare Division of the
2-1 Department of Human Resources the sum of $2,761,305 for an
2-2 unanticipated shortfall in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 to fund
2-3 the State’s share of the caseload requirements and cost allocation of
2-4 the Division. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by
2-5 section 19 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2861.
2-6 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
