Assembly Concurrent RESOLUTION—Providing for the
compensation of the clergy for services rendered to the Assembly and the Senate
during the 72nd Session of
the Nevada Legislature.
1-1 Whereas, The members of the 72nd Session of the Nevada
1-2 Legislature have been sincerely appreciative of the daily religious
1-3 services rendered by members of the clergy representing various
1-4 denominations; and
1-5 Whereas, The invocations offered by the clergy provided
1-6 inspiration and guidance for the members of the Nevada Legislature
1-7 as they faced the challenges and demands of the 72nd Session; and
1-8 Whereas, A reasonable compensation should be provided for
1-9 the clergy who performed such services; now, therefore, be it
1-10 Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the
1-11 Senate Concurring, That the State Controller is authorized and
1-12 directed to pay the sum of $35 per service out of the Legislative
1-13 Fund to the members of the clergy who have performed religious
1-14 services for the Assembly and the Senate during the 72nd Session of
1-15 the Nevada Legislature.
