Assembly Concurrent RESOLUTION—Granting administrative leave to legislative employees in recognition of their service to the 72nd Session of the Nevada Legislature.

 

1-1  Whereas, The staff of the Nevada Legislature and the

1-2  Administrative, Audit, Fiscal Analysis, Legal and Research

1-3  Divisions of the Legislative Counsel Bureau provide services to the

1-4  Legislature which are vital to an efficient and productive session of

1-5  the Nevada Legislature; and

1-6  Whereas, The additional employees hired specifically for the

1-7  legislative session also provide essential services with dedication,


2-1  competence and enthusiasm throughout the long days of the session;

2-2  and

2-3  Whereas, Extraordinary demands are routinely placed on

2-4  legislative employees as a result of the time constraints imposed by

2-5  the 120-day limitation on the length of the legislative session, and

2-6  the entire legislative staff has demonstrated their extraordinary

2-7  talents, patience, flexibility and tireless work ethic to meet these

2-8  required deadlines; and

2-9  Whereas, The members of the 72nd Session of the Nevada

2-10  Legislature do hereby recognize and express their appreciation of

2-11  the outstanding effort made by the permanent employees of the

2-12  Legislature and Legislative Counsel Bureau and by all other

2-13  employees hired temporarily for the legislative session; now,

2-14  therefore, be it

2-15      Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the

2-16  Senate Concurring, That 7 days of administrative leave are

2-17  hereby granted to each:

2-18      1.  Permanent employee of the Legislature and Legislative

2-19  Counsel Bureau who is employed on the last day of session; and

2-20      2.  Employee of the Legislature and Legislative Counsel Bureau

2-21  hired temporarily for the legislative session who:

2-22      (a) Is employed by the Legislature or Legislative Counsel

2-23  Bureau on the last day of this session; and

2-24      (b) If requested to do so by the employee’s supervisor, remains

2-25  in that employment after the last day of this session until all tasks

2-26  assigned to the employee during the session are completed.
