Assembly RESOLUTION—Expressing appreciation to the staff of the Assembly and designating May 1, 2003, as Assembly Staff Appreciation Day.

 

1-1  Whereas, The Nevada Legislature undertakes an enormous

1-2  task every 2 years in the performance of its legislative duties on

1-3  behalf of the residents of Nevada; and

1-4  Whereas, The smooth and efficient operation of the Nevada

1-5  Legislature is largely dependent upon the dedication and abilities of

1-6  the members of its staff; and

1-7  Whereas, Because the legislative session has been limited to

1-8  120 days, many extra demands have been placed on the staff by

1-9  requiring them to learn and assimilate new skills at an accelerated

1-10  rate and to process their work even more efficiently; and

1-11      Whereas, The bill clerks, secretaries, sergeants at arms, and

1-12  clerical and support staff who serve as attaches of the Assembly

1-13  have worked diligently and efficiently in their service to the

1-14  members of the Assembly; now, therefore, be it

2-1  Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, That

2-2  the members of the Assembly of the 72nd Session of the Nevada

2-3  Legislature do hereby express their sincere appreciation and

2-4  commend the outstanding support staff of the Assembly, which

2-34      Resolved, That May 1, 2003, is hereby designated as

2-35  Assembly Staff Appreciation Day in recognition of the dedicated

2-36  and excellent service the staff of the Assembly has provided to the

2-37  members of the Assembly and to the residents of this state; and be it

2-38  further

2-39      Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly prepare and

2-40  transmit a copy of this resolution to each member of the Assembly

2-41  staff who is commended in this resolution.
