     Amend section 1, page 2, line 37, by deleting:

“longer than 3 months” and inserting:

“a reasonable period”.

     Amend section 1, page 2, line 38, after “candidates” by inserting:

“for the position”.

     Amend section 1, page 2, lines 42 and 43, by deleting:

“annual salary authorized for that position is more than $50,000.” and inserting:

“position is the administrative head of a department, board, agency, school district or commission, or the immediate deputy or assistant of such an administrative head.”.
