AN ACT making an appropriation to the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for the support of its multidisciplinary research teams that provide the expertise necessary to solve complex environmental problems; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General
1-2 Fund to the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies at the
1-3 University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the sum of $250,000 for the
1-4 support of its multidisciplinary research teams that provide
1-5 the expertise necessary to solve complex environmental problems.
1-6 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by
1-7 section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after
1-8 June 30, 2005, and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all
1-9 payments of money committed have been made.
1-10 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
