AN ACT making a supplemental appropriation to the Department of Motor Vehicles for an unanticipated shortfall in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 resulting from certain increased costs; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State

1-2  Highway Fund to the Department of Motor Vehicles the sum of

1-3  $370,000 for an unanticipated shortfall in money for Fiscal Year

1-4  2002-2003 resulting from increased postage and mailing costs,

1-5  increased costs relating to maintenance agreements on microfilm

1-6  machines, increased costs of microfilming paid to the State for

1-7  micrographic services and increased costs paid to the American

1-8  Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators for access to national

1-9  driver’s license information. This appropriation is supplemental to

1-10  that made by section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at

1-11  page 2864.
