Senate Concurrent RESOLUTION—Amending the Joint Rules of the Senate and Assembly for the 72nd Session of the Legislature to clarify the time by which the Legislature must adjourn the session sine die.

 

1-1  Resolved by the Senate of the State of Nevada, the

1-2  Assembly Concurring, That, the Joint Rules of the Senate and

1-3  Assembly as adopted by the 72nd Session of the Legislature are

1-4  amended by the following addition:

1-5  9.5

1-6  Adjournment sine die

1-7  1.  The Legislature shall not take any action on a bill or

1-8  resolution after midnight Pacific Daylight Time on the 120th

1-9  calendar day of session.

1-10      2.  A Legislator shall not take any action to impede the

1-11  progress of the Legislature in completing its business by the time

1-12  specified in subsection 1.

1-13      3.  Any action taken in violation of subsection 2 shall be

1-14  deemed out of order.
