Revises provisions governing the Advisory Council of the Division of Industrial Relations of the Department of Business and Industry. (BDR 18-555) - AB127
Sections 3.5 to 6, inclusive, 8, 9, and 10 of this act effective June 13, 2007. Section 7 of this act effective January 1, 2008.
Revises provisions relating to the collection of debts by collection agencies. (BDR 54-1049) - AB147
Sections 1 to 5, inclusive, 7 and 8 of this act become effective on January 1, 2008. Section 1 of this act expires by limitation December 31, 2008. Section 6 of this act becomes effective January 1, 2009.
Makes various changes concerning the placement of a child into protective custody. (BDR 38-869) - AB209
Sections 27, 29, and 30 of this act effective June 13, 2007. Sections 1 to 13, inclusive, 15, 19 to 23, inclusive, 25 and 26 of this act effective July 1, 2007. Sections 15 and 23 of this act expire by limitation December 31, 2007. Sections 14, 16, 17, 18, 24 and 28 of this act effective January 1, 2008.

Effective May 21, 2007, for adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks that are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act; and January 1, 2008, for all other purposes.
Requires adoption of regulations concerning nontraditional mortgage loans and lending practices. (BDR 55-1044) - AB406

Effective June 13, 2007, for the purpose of adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks necessary to carry out the provisions of this act; and January 1, 2008, for all other purposes.

Requires an insurer or third-party administrator who pays workers' compensation to an employee or a dependent of an employee to deposit the compensation directly into the account of the employee or dependent under certain circumstances. (BDR 53-465) - SB275
Effective January 1, 2008.
Makes various changes relating to underground water. (BDR 48-208) - SB412
Effective June 13, 2007 for the purpose of adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks that are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act; and on January 1, 2008, for all other purposes. The amendatory provisions of section 7 expire by limitation January 1, 2012. Sections 11 and 25 expire by limitation January 1, 2012.
Makes various changes regarding health care. (BDR 54-540) - SB452
Sections 1 to 6, inclusive, 8 to 16, inclusive, 17, 20 to 23, inclusive, 26, 28 to 31, inclusive, 33 to 41, inclusive, and 43 to 69, inclusive, and 72 effective July 1, 2007. Sections 7, 16.5, 18, 19, 24, 25, 27, 42, 70 and 71 effective January 1, 2008. Sections 17 and 31 of this act expire by limitation on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment of the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States. Section 32 of this act becomes effective on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children,
are repealed by the Congress of the United States.
Makes various changes to provisions governing the regulation of motor vehicle manufacturers, dealers, distributors, brokers, rebuilders and lessors. (BDR 43-644)
